Thank goodness I attended Brian’s workshop. I immediately applied it to my shareholder agreement and funding strategy. I consider myself very fortunate to benefit from knowledge and experience Brian shares.
My struggle is over. Now I can finally articulate why co-contributors should not get 50% or even 10% of my company.

I attended the Pitching Workshop lead by Brian Dorricott of TiE Sydney since I wanted to learn how to present my proposition more efficiently. I learnt three key things: the speaker has the power; the investors perception; and that it is not easy! Using the techniques provided I am confident that I can assemble a pitch to any audience be it investors, customers, or just interested people in the future. I’m not sure when I’ll ever be comfortable calling myself an entrepreneur, but these forums do embolden the tenacity needed for dreams to be realised!
It’s remarkable to see what Brian and the team have done in the last 12 months to rejuvenate the TiE Sydney Chapter. You give candid & realistic advice which whilst not particularly welcome by some at times, is necessary to say. You also have international start-up experience, particularly in Europe which is vital. At all times you have a client’s best interest foremost, not your interests/needs…. Bit of a rarity.

Brian spoke succinctly and with authority, and judging by the feedback we received, in a few well-chosen words identified the key issue at hand – ‘Being innovative is up to us the business community.
